    As of April 11, 2022 RISD has adapted the guidelines for in-person events and gatherings based on public health conditions.     There are no capacity limits for gatherings on the RISD campus, including academic, co-curricular, and community-wide events.
    Public events are allowed with no limits on external visitors.
    Food and beverages are permitted at gatherings and events.

  • Visitors

    There are no limits on external visitors and public events/gatherings are allowed.
    Visitors are allowed in all RISD buildings, including residence halls.

  • Vaccination Requirements

    Hosts of visitors to academic and administrative buildings cannot ask for proof of vaccination, but they can ask specific COVID-19 screening questions as a requirement for admittance to events.

  • Public Spaces

    Spaces that are open to the public, such as the RISD Museum, Fleet Library, and the RISD Store, follow general business guidelines from the State of Rhode Island, as well as all RISD protocols, including the mask requirement.
